The idea of feminism has been subject to controversy and rebuke ever since (God knows why). To this day, most feminists know that they are rich, educated, inhibited and excessively hypocritical. They hate men and can not stand up to women who wear lipstick; thinking about women's movement is like a lot of nonsense about nothing. After all, in a world in which children die of hunger, countries are on the brink of war and our land is about to be destroyed, and concerns about how women wear are trivial and futile. People see the women's movement as an exaggerated and harsh relationship to be made. Even women are often reluctant to call themselves women's movements. However, the irony of the situation is that despite so many speeches, lots of discussions, lots of workshops, and many YouTube videos, the majority of men and women overlook what the women's movement really represents.
Feminism, in the simplest of worlds, is equality; equality of rights and opportunities, and most importantly choice. The only goal of the women's movement is to achieve equal representation not only for women, but for men and LGBTQ society as well.
Now the next major question that arises is - why feminism?
Why should the women's movement be given priority in a world where global peace and sustainable development need an hour? The importance of women's movement is much deeper than most of us think. In fact, women's movement must precede all other issues. why? Malala Yousafzai once said: "We can not succeed when our half is hindered." Can you imagine the change that the world will see by doubling the number of manpower, doubling the volume of efforts and doubling the amount of contribution?
The importance of femininity does not end here. Trafficking, rape, sexual assault, genital mutilation, domestic abuse and harassment in the workplace are some of the most serious issues that have plagued our society today. Providing women with knives, pepper spray, or self-defense training does not provide a suitable solution for these matters. We need to identify the root cause of these crimes. The answer is gender inequality. Such crimes occur because most criminals do not commit them as crimes but as a right. Since childhood, they have been taught that men outperform women, women are just subordinate, and are only suitable for maternity and domestic work. They were forced to believe that they had the right to control women and get rid of such heinous crimes. Now, how is this done? The answer to this also is simple feminism. If the feminist spirit is soaked in our young generations in early upbringing years; if they are raised to believe that all genders must be treated and treated equally; the world can witness an incredible change.
In short, women's movement after every need for the hour. We must not shy away from calling ourselves feminists. In fact, by becoming feminists, we contribute in one way or another to the world.
